A standout piece from his fall/winter 2009-2010 collection, the "Visor" by Martin Margiela brings futuristic eyewear to the fashion forward. At first glance, its atypical design may send stylish skeptics in search of a more wearable pair shades; however, a closer look reveals that the blinkers' nose-piece and curved lens lends it a construction similar to that of original aviators. While not as severe as his original "L'Incognito" sunglasses, this playfully avant-garde update represents the intersection of progressive aesthetics and old-fashioned functionality.
