Alexander Wang SS'2010
Widely regarded as one of the most impressive and coveted collections at New York Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Week, Alexander Wang's presentation of fleece outerwear and mini-dresses was greatly inspired by college co-eds and athletes. The San Francisco-born designer fused the classic functionality of cotton denim and khaki with more fashion-forward aesthetics of cut-outs, puff shoulders, and knee-high socks to create a look that is edgy yet undoubtedly all-American. Accents of leather, lace, and chiffon add feminine flair to each piece's neutral hue scheme while exposed boy shorts and open-toed booties amp up the sex appeal of a collection that epitomizes disheveled chic.
